Biographies:
Art Bloomer: 30+ years in the fire service, currently a member of the Kearny Fire Department. Assigned to Station #2, home of Squad 2, Rescue 2, and Tower 2. He is also a volunteer firefighter in Brick, Station 24, and is a past chief. He is also a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey Task Force 1. He is a Level II Fire Instructor, and teaches throught New Jersey. Art has been a classroom presenter at F.D.I.C. , and a H.O.T. instructor for the Fixed Facility Burn Instuctor class, also at F.D.I.C. All three of Art children are also voulunteer firefighters in Brick.
Tom Decker: I started the fire service in 1973 as a junior firefighter in Cherry Hill at the age of 16. Proudly serving as a volunteer firefighter for the next ten years holding positions including Firefighter, Captain, Asst. Engineer, Fire Inspector, and Asst Chief. A Degree of B.S. in Environmental was obtained from Stockton State College in 1981. The years from 1981 to 1983 worked as a Fire and Ambulance dispatcher for Camden County Communications. In 1984, was sworn in as an entry level career firefighter. In the year 2001 was sworn in as a Lieutenant and assigned to Engine, Squad, Rescue and Truck Companies during the following eight years. Currently, holding the following certifications N. J. Level I instructor and MFRI Level I instrutor and employed by Camden County Training Academy and On Scene Training Inc. Also, served as a FDIC Hands-on Training instructor for the “Fixed Burn Building Instructor”. I have been a F.O.O.L.S. member since 2002 and a member of the Executive Board since 2003.
Mike Sanna: Firefighter for 9 years in Hamilton Township New jersey have been employed by districts 3,5 and 6 currently position Driver/outside vent Truck 13, following the career of my father retired firefighter of 28 years.
Aron Heller: Is a career captain with the Hamilton Township, NJ Fire District #9 in charge of training. Capt Heller is a 25 year veteran of the fire service. He is a Past Chief of the New Egypt Vol. Fire Company. He is a Fire Commissioner with the Plumsted Township Board of Fire Commissioners. Capt. Heller is an instructor with the Mercer County Fire Academy and is a NJ Level 2 instructor. He is a NJ certified Fire Official and serves on the NJ RIT curriculum committee. Capt. Heller has served as a H.O.T. Instructor with the FDIC and FDIC East, specializing in the Fixed Burn Facility program. Heller is the Vice President of the Hamilton Township Professional Fire Officers Union Local 284 of the New Jersey FMBA. He is a founding member of the Jersey Fraternal Order Of Leatherheads Society. Capt. Heller is the owner of On Scene Training Associates, LLC., an emergency services training company that provides hands-on training throughout the country. He is the Co-Director of Training for Champion Rescue Tools.
Justin Lahullier: Firefighter and Hazmat Technical for just over 14 years in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 12-truck-1. Currently(2009) Lieutenant of 12-Truck-1 and the chair of the Office of Technology and Communications at the ERFD. Also, a member of the Office of Emergency Management in East Rutherford. Justin currently is the Manager of Planning and Product Development at Delta Dental of New Jersey and runs a small IT consulting business JRLSolutions.net.
Dave Krouse: Currently the Lieutenant of Rescue Co. #5 in Rutherford, I have had the pleasure to serve in both the Rutherford Fire Department and the Franklin Lakes Fire Department over the past 11 years. I hold many certifications, and I am also a Fire Instructor Level 1. I am extermely proud to be a member of one of the best FOOLS chapters in the world, and even more proud to have the opportunity to serve the chapter as a trustee.
John Lewis: John comes from a long line of firefighters in his family, joined the volunteer fire service in 1978 and became a career firefighter in 1985 in Cliffside Park. An instructor at the Bergen County (NJ) Fire Academy and former Team Leader with the Bergen County Arson Task Force, he is currently a Lieutenant assigned to the Training Division with the City of Passaic Fire Department. John’s involvement with the FOOLS dates back to the Founding FOOLS getting their message out, his younger brother Walt, being one of the Founding Fathers of this organization. John has taught both classroom and hands on programs at the FDIC, FDIC West, FDIC East, Firehouse Expo and for various fire departments around NJ and the United States.

Bill Hopson: Bill is a founding member of the N.J. F.O.O.L.S. and has been a member of F.O.O.L.S. International since 1998. He was the original Vice – President of the Chapter and became Chapter President in 2004. He is a 30 year veteran of the New Jersey Fire Service. Since 1986, he has served as a Deputy Fire Marshal for Ocean County, NJ (Station 19) and he has served as a Volunteer Line Officer for both the Seaside Heights Fire Department and the Beachwood NJ Fire Department. His F.O.O.L.S. International ID number is 1099.
